Mackelvie Society tour of A Century of Modern Art

Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki is pleased to announce A Century of Modern Art as its special winter exhibition this year. 

We’re pleased to invite you to a special curator-led tour of A Century of Modern Art  - a landmark exhibition bringing highlights from the internationally renowned collection of the Toledo Museum of Art to Auckland Art Gallery Toi o Tāmaki.

This exhibition features 57 masterpieces by 53 influential artists, including Claude Monet, Edgar Degas, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Pablo Picasso, Berthe Morisot, and Helen Frankenthaler.

Spanning over a century of artistic innovation, the exhibition traces the evolution of modern painting from Impressionism to Abstract Expressionism, with key works representing movements such as Post-Impressionism, Symbolism, Cubism, Surrealism, Constructivism, and more.
